Private sessions are held in my studio, at corporate sites, or can be arranged in your home.  Small private group sessions are also available upon request. 

 

Each private session begins with a client health profile interview that considers your past health and lifestyle conditions and gives you an opportunity to reflect on what changes you would like to make to enhance your present lifestyle.  Whether it be simply to learn techniques to identify and release stress or to immerse yourself in a program that will foster a deeper internal experience, you will be encouraged to view this process as originating from you, and along with skillful facilitation there will be an opportunity for you to realize your goals and intentions.

Yoga Instruction

If you are new to yoga we may explore learning postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or awareness.  Or you may wish to focus on developing or deepening an at-home practice if you are presently practicing yoga. While yoga classes are an effective way of learning and practicing, there may come a time when you choose to learn in a private session.  

 

In a private yoga session, I devote my undivided attention to your needs and tailor the session specifically for you.  Because it is designed for you, a private yoga session can streamline and enhance your progress.   

There Are Many Reasons For Deciding on a Private Yoga Session Including:

  • Rehabilitation of injuries or working deeply on a certain troublesome area of the body

  • Helping you develop a customized daily practice

  • Personal attention is given to help modify postures and then develop alternatives to accommodate your physical ability

  • Assisting you in the precise alignment of each asana.

 

Introduction to Meditation

Your session will include overview of the various types of meditation practices and how to apply them to your daily life.  We will explore walking, sitting, eating practices to bring mindfulness more fully into daily life.  After the first session you will be able to begin a daily practice. 

 

Healing Arts Sessions

From the moment you arrive your private healing arts session is tailored to your individual needs.  Your body, mind and spirit are cared for and balanced with private yoga, yoga therapy, directional healing, chakra balancing, lifestyle counseling or create your own blend of services to support your intuitive awakening. The insights received help you to gain clarity and open your heart to a deeper knowing.  The session takes place with you fully-clothed on a massage table or futon.  Or on a yoga mat or seating on the floor on in a chair.  Each session is unique and supportive.

 

LifeStyle Consultation/Counseling

This individualized lifestyle coaching will help you to identify what is working for you in your life and what is not.  A sampling of what has been discussed with clients and what might be included are:

  • reviewing what you eat and how you eat

  • how to shop for and prepare good, simple food

  • eating exercises and meditations

  • learn practical breathing exercises and gentle stretching 

  • explore practical exercise options that suit your body type

  • What is food for your soul?  Religion, meditation, poetry, art, gardening, sailing, playing a musical instrument, volunteering, community events, cultivation of friendships that support your new lifestyle.

 

Create your own program tailored to your immediate needs

Many clients are fulfilled and satisfied with their lives yet there is an underlying discomfort and yearning they cannot explain. Or heightened emotions may be triggered when they least expect it.  This may occur when some aspect of the body, mind, and spirit are out of balance.  It is important to weave your own intuitive awareness into the design of any changes that you want to make to facilitate a more authentic action that originates from your source.  I merely guide your process and suggest, from my sense of your presence with yourself during a session, what techniques and tools you may choose to explore.

 

Simply show up to be in the moment of discovery

Why are you here reading this?  You may have seen an ad, heard a comment from a friend, or read an article to be prompted to explore something that calls to you.  A friend or family member may have suggested you come for a session because of the benefits they experienced.  That may be enough for you to just show up and trust in the mystery of the moment.  Be open to the innate wisdom that will direct you.  Honor your journey.
