Diane Barnes, M.Ed,. RYT Diane's experience, providing education and training, spans more than thirty years and draws from a diverse background in healthcare, corporate, academic, and military settings. Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education degree from the University of West Florida. She is a graduate of The LEARN Institute for LifeStyle Management developed by The Cooper Clinic, Dallas, TX, and a Certified Yoga Teacher through Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA. Diane completed Professional Training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. of the University of Massachusetts Medical Center's Stress Reduction Clinic. Additional training and related experience include Integrative Yoga Therapy, Thai Yoga Therapy, Stress Management Specialist, Advanced Practitioner of Directional Healing®, and Group Facilitator with The University of Arizona School of Medicine. Diane continues to study with master teachers representing a variety of yogic paths and ancient healing traditions. In addition to her private practice as a Yoga Therapist and LifeStyle Counselor, Diane teaches Yoga Philosophy & Practice in the academic program at USC, is former faculty of Columbia College and consults with corporate wellness programs. Clients include Colonial Insurance, The State Newspaper, Capital Senior Center, Tri-City Leisure Center, BCBS of SC, various state agencies, and others.
